Rooney: I’m excited to be back.

Everton got their boy back! Wayne Rooney return was announced by the Merseyside club and it’s their 6th signing of the summer.

It is also official that he will wearing the No.10 jersey on his second stint at Everton.

Rooney is now back home and is very excited to be back at Everton and is looking to win a trophy this season with the club.

He said the club are going in the right direction and are excited about the signings so far.

The lad also added that he is looking forward to meeting his new teammates and described it as emotional when he play his first game in an Everton shirt.

In the interview, he confessed that he has been wearing Everton pyjamas for the past 13 years at home. What a die hard loya fan!

Mourinho express his feeling about Wayne departure and describe him as a very professional player and could not have the heart to stop him from leaving to Everton.

Although he did not get much play time under Mourinho, he is very much wanted to take part and help the team which helps Mourinho to made his up on selling him.

Rooney has been putting in lots of hard work on his fitness for the new season by going for fitness classes showed in his instagram.

He left Manchester United after a fantastic 13 years where he scored 253 goals in 559 matches and is also United all time top goalscorer.

In his blistering United career, he have won 5 Premier League, 1 FA Cup, 1 League Cup, 4 Community Shield, 1 UEFA Champions League, 1 Europa League and 1 FIFA Club World Cup.

Basically, he has won almost everything as a club player.

Wayne’s record will be hard to beat for decades for sure. Back at his old club, Lukaku who has confirmed but yet to be unveiled by United, must be looking to emulate Rooney and claim his mark as the most prolific goalscorer in the history of United.
